We are The Wilf Ward Family Trust, a Registered Charity based in Yorkshire that provides support for adults with learning disabilities. Our vision is to enable extraordinary lives through outstanding support, which is all made possible thanks to our incredible team.
We are looking to expand our team so have a number of vacancies in The Boothferry in the Wolds region as a Support Worker, situated in one of our services in Goole.
We would like someone to come and help support our individuals on a 1-1 basis. This would be to support them with all aspects of care, from administering medication, helping with personal care and attending appointments to being involved in the huge array of fun and interest activities our individuals get involved in. A full UK driving license is essential as our individuals lead very active lifestyles, we actively encourage and promote them to live independent, fulfilling lives.
Due to the individual needs of the service, a valid driver’s license is essential for this role.
You will need to have a positive attitude and be an effective listener and communicator. Our team is full of skilled and dedicated colleagues, who are committed to delivering outstanding person-centred support, so as long as you can show us you share our vision for improving lives, we will always be there to help and support you along the way
If you can show us that you are kind, compassionate, dedicated, and flexible, and share our vision for improving lives, we will provide all the training you will need on the job. We want all our staff to love working with us, so we have lots of employee benefits, including generous holiday entitlement, fantastic training and development opportunities, and access to employee discount, and Credit Union saving schemes
